The first step in production is drying the wood in a kiln, then treating it for pests before beginning the creative process. After phase I, the constructed artwork moves on to the Pre-Finish process, which entails applying several paint bases and hand sanding in phases. To give it a distinctive texture and color, multiple coats of paint and acrylic are applied during the finishing process. Each piece goes through this process of hand distressing and hand polishing. Since each piece is hand-painted, colors may slightly differ. Our case goods are constructed using mortise and tenon joinery. Each piece of our exterior hardware is manually fashioned from wrought iron. Peruvian made!
